We had so many fun times together! I will say this..she is the cause of my "tanorexia"...our little joke. We were both addicted to laying in the sun & going to the tanning beds. Last summer we even had a competition. After a 3 day weekend off of work, the goal was to see who came back with the best tan. She won of course! She confessed to me though that she went as far to go to 2 different tanning places in one day. She always did funny stuff like that.
We used to go out for Mexican food a lot and we would always share stories of our childhoods. She always had the best stories to tell! Denise was 22 years older than I but she always referred to me as "her sister from another Mother"...she missed all her sisters back in Texas so much that she kinda just adopted me as such. Speaking of Mexican food, she made a mean queso dip!!
This past January I had to put my kitty to sleep. Denise was the first person I called after I talked to the vet about the decision I had to make. She cried with me on the phone and told me everything was going to be alright. Coincidently about 2 months ago, Denise had to put her dog (Tucker) to sleep. I was there for her every step of the way. I remember telling her that now my kitty would have a friend to play with in heaven. I know Denise is with Zoe Elizabeth and it's a very comforting feeling. :)
Sometimes when I go to work and she isn't there to talk to, I do get sad. But I know she is still around in spirit...she loved Dialamerica. ..and we all loved her :)
